- Friday, 9 October: 1:30 p.m. for Zones 1 and 2 at Gates 1, 2 and 8; 2:00 p.m. for Zone 4 at Gates 3A, 3B, 4, 5, 6 and 7
- Saturday, 10 October: 2:15 p.m.
- Sunday, 11 October: 3:00 p.m.
The organiser advises fans to arrive early and use the gate nearest to the one shown for their ticket. That detail matters for transport: the Marina Bay circuit covers a large area, and choosing a drop-off on the wrong side can add a long walk through busy streets.
Why Singapore F1 transport needs a different plan
On a normal evening, a car can move easily between Marina Bay hotels, restaurants and attractions. During the Grand Prix, the circuit itself is built on public roads. Phased closures, controlled access and event traffic mean the usual door-to-door route may not be available.
Visitors should plan for three separate parts of the journey:
- Hotel or airport to the Marina Bay area. A private transfer keeps luggage, group size and departure time organised.
- The last stretch to your ticket gate. This may require a walk or MRT connection from a lawful drop-off outside the restricted area.
- The post-session pickup. The best meeting point is usually away from the heaviest gate crowd and must remain reachable under the live closure plan.
No responsible operator should promise a gate-side pickup before the final road-access bulletin is available. Confirm the actual meeting point closer to race week and keep a flexible backup location.
Choose the right transport setup
One-way hotel transfer
This works well if you want a confirmed departure from your hotel but plan to use the MRT or walk after the race. Your driver can take you as close as permitted to the most practical side of the circuit, based on your ticket gate and the restrictions in force.
When booking, provide:
- the exact hotel or residence address
- your event date and ticket zone or grandstand
- the gate recommended on your ticket
- passenger and luggage count

Hourly chauffeur for dinner, hospitality and evening plans
An hourly chauffeur service is useful when race day includes several stops, such as lunch, a sponsor function, the circuit and a post-race venue. The vehicle cannot ignore closures, but one driver and one communication channel make changes easier to coordinate.

Separate Changi Airport transfer
If you fly in during race week, keep the airport transfer separate from your circuit arrival unless the timing leaves a generous buffer. Immigration, baggage delivery and traffic are variable, while large luggage is not suitable for the event grounds. The official prohibited-items guide states that trolleys and luggage, along with bags larger than 20 litres, cannot enter Circuit Park.
Book a private Changi Airport transfer to your hotel first, leave your bags there, and continue to the race with only what the event permits.
A practical race-day timing plan
Work backwards from the session you care about rather than from the advertised gate time.
- Allow time for the vehicle to reach the agreed drop-off outside any closure zone.
- Add the walking or MRT portion from the drop-off to your ticket gate.
- Leave a buffer for security screening and mobile-ticket checks.
- Arrive earlier if you want to explore the entertainment zones or attend a fan activity.
For the Sunday 8:00 p.m. race, a mid-afternoon arrival gives you more margin than joining the peak evening flow. On Friday, remember that first practice begins at 4:30 p.m.; anyone leaving a hotel after the working-day peak begins may encounter heavier city traffic.
Exact travel time depends on your starting point, ticket gate and the closure plan. Treat any estimate given weeks in advance as provisional.

The busiest transport moment is usually after the final track session or headline performance, when many spectators leave together. Settle these details while your group still has time and phone battery:
- one primary meeting point and one backup point
- the walking route from your gate to each point
- one lead passenger who communicates with the driver
- a pickup window rather than an unrealistic exact minute
- the vehicle description and registration details
- what to do if mobile data is slow
A brightly lit hotel entrance or known landmark outside the closure perimeter is easier to describe than an informal roadside location. Follow police, marshal and event-organiser directions on the night; live access controls take priority over an earlier plan.
What to carry for a long, humid night
Singapore GP is a rain-or-shine event. The organiser recommends comfortable shoes, light clothing, sunscreen and hydration. A few event-specific rules are especially important:
- General ticketholders use mobile tickets in the official Singapore GP app; screenshots, videos, printouts and purchase-confirmation emails are not accepted at the gates.
- Pack light for bag checks. Bags larger than 20 litres and luggage are prohibited.
- You may bring one water bottle of no more than one litre and use refill points inside the Circuit Park.
